Duties include but are not limited to:
Welcoming guests upon arrival, ensuring that they are attended to promptly and efficiently, giving clear directions to rooms and information on all services available

The co-ordination of the hotel day/night operations in liaison with the duty manager and the security on duty

Attending to the needs of the guests as required in order to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable

Sell any available room stays to guests as per the instructions issued from the office of the Sales & Reservations Manager and to ensure correct payment

Handle arrivals and departures as required during night receptionist’s shift

Receive correct payments for room stays, and any extras consumed by guests

Being responsible for the night audit of the Hotel and to ensure correct handover of the same at the end of the shift

To record accurately all guest enquiries for room maintenance and service and to ensure that his/her superiors are notified

Ensuring that the Hotel offers a service of the highest possible standard to its guests

Following the duties assigned to the employee by his/her  supervisor which are stated in the weekly issued roster and to fill in as day/night time Receptionist if required

Maintain vigilance so as to ensure the safety of all resident guests during his/her shift

Take an active part in his/her self development especially in hotel guest relations and languages
